SEATTLE, WA – November 15, 2021 – Lumotive, a leading developer of solid-state lidar systems for automotive, industrial and consumer applications, today announced that it has been named a CES® 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree in both the “Robotics” and “Vehicle Intelligence & Transportation” award categories for its innovative Meta-Lidar™ Platform. This year’s CES Innovation Awards program received a record high number of over 1800 submissions. The award honoree announcement was made ahead of CES 2022, the world’s most influential technology event, happening January 5-8, 2022 in Las Vegas, and digitally.
The CES Innovation Awards program, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in 27 consumer technology product categories. Those with the highest rating receive the “Best of Innovation” distinction. An elite panel of industry expert judges, including members of the media, designers, engineers and more, reviewed submissions based on innovation, engineering and functionality, aesthetic and design.
The Lumotive Meta-Lidar™ Platform is the mobility industry’s smallest and most cost-effective 3D sensing solution comprising a Lumotive tiny lidar sensor with patented beam steering technology, real-time control software, and a reference system design. Unlike previous generation lidar systems that use mechanical spinning assemblies and are known for being big and expensive, Lumotive's solution is tiny and scalable for a range of size, performance, and power requirements. The Meta-Lidar Platform removes barriers to greater proliferation of 3D sensing in many fast-growing end markets.
“As top-tier consumer product developers are increasingly adopting the Lumotive Meta-Lidar Platform for their next generation mobility solutions, we are delighted to have our approach to 3D sensing recognized for the true breakthrough that it is,” said Dr. Gleb Akselrod, CTO and Co-Founder at Lumotive. “We congratulate all the other CES 2022 Innovation Award nominees and look forward to showcasing our products alongside them at CES in January.”
The CES 2022 Innovation Awards honorees, including product descriptions and photos, can be found at CES.tech/innovation. More will be revealed in January. Many honorees will showcase their winning products in the Innovation Awards Showcase at CES 2022.
Owned and produced by CTA, CES 2022, the global stage for innovation, will convene the tech industry in person and digitally, giving global audiences access to major brands and startups, as well as the world’s most-influential leaders and industry advocates.
